I do not really know how to cook much at all. All of my meals come in a box or they are already prepared. I am trying to improve my eating habits. Is there really anything wrong with eating this way? There are a lot of low-fat microwave/boxed meals out there. Anyone else eat most of their meals this way?

Thanks for any comments.

This is a very bad habit... usually very unhealthy. You are likely getting way too much sodium and chemical/preservative ingredients. If you cannot pronounce the ingredients on the box, imagine what it is doing inside your body!

You don't need to know how to cook to prepare yourself a good healthy meal. For example, for dinner do the following in this order:

1. Take a lean boneless porkchop and toss it in the broiler for 20-30 minutes - turn it halfway.
2. Wait 5 minutes an then take a small (6-7 oz) baking potato - stab it with a fork or knife a few times and throw it in the microwave for 6-8 minutes.
3. Take 1/3 of bag of frozen veggies (any kind) and in a covered dish microwave on high for 4-6 minutes or until hot.

The potato will stay hot while the veggies cook and everything will be done at the same time. Obviously you can change up the ingredients, but this is so basic. Really simple!
