So I did some research, and it seems milnacipran is being developed by Cypress Bioscience and Forest Labs as a treatment for FMS, and its in phase III testing. Also, there is this drug by Pfizer called pregabalin... Does anyone know how I would get a hold of pregabalin? Its supposed to be pretty effective. As for Milnacipran, its marketed in canada/europe as Ixel, an antidepressant. I have heard of people getting it from out of the country. Any stories as to whether it works or not? Please help me!!!!

I too have heard of Pregabalin, but would love to hear about information people could share about this drug. The other I have never heard of. Tomorrow I go to my first visit with a pain management doctor. I will ask him and keep you posted.

Pregabalin is a drug marketed by Pfizer, an improvement on neurontin, an anti-convulsant (anti-seizure) drug. Basically what it does is it calms down your central nervous system, and so reduced the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Should be approved very soon for epilepsy and "adjunctive neuropathic pain" ie fibro. They have already completed phase III trials.
