What an amazingly awful day on Monday. My pain levels were about as high as I've had since starting PM over 2 years ago. Every movement I made was sheer agony. And while I am lucky to be self-employed (I write two stock market newsletters), I still use my time to take my son to his music lessons. Part of the problem is carrying his instruments. (He is only 11 but plays Keyboards, Guitar, Bass, and Drums. In fact, he is in a band that just won first place in a competition. The band does gigs for $300 an hour...amazing).
Part of my work requires me to sit and update the daily high, low, volume and close for about 600 stocks daily. This takes about 6 hours each day, but tonight the sitting was pure H***.
Currently, I'm taking 60 mgs MS CONTIN 2X and 30 mgs MSIR 2X, but they are starting to not een come close to touching the pain. Next PM visit is Thursday if I can hold out that long.
I'm supposed to have IDET procedure, but apparantly my PCP has not yet requested the referrel from AVMED even though the PM sent 2 faxes to him, asking him to do it. I'm not sure Iblame the Doc...the problem is his staff. They are a bunch of lazy girls who would rather file their nails and talk about bs rather than get any work done.
I'm told if IDET does not help, next step is fusion (If anyone out there is a DBZ fan, that is actually a little funny).
Anyway, just felt like typing this tonight after the rather crappy day I hadand hope everyone is feeling better tonight.

I'm sorry about your awful day and that your pain level is so high. How wonderful that your son is so talented! I just wanted to say to stay on your Doctor's staff. I had the same problem with my Doctor's office. I'm still not clear what I did; but it seems I somehow got on the bad side of the women who handles the referrals and sometimes she would sit on them as long as a week or more. The last time My surgeon had wanted a rushed EMG; well when it was taking over two weeks to hear anything on the referral (she basically told my husband that is how our insurance works and was very rude to him). Well, I contacted my insurance and they told me in writing that she had neglected to put "urgent" on the request and if she had it would have been processed within 48 hours. It was very upsetting. I hope you hear something soon!

Well, this should help stop the awful days I hope....just had PM visit on Thursday and was raised from 60mg MS CONTIN 2 X a day to 3X, and raised from 30 MSIR 2 X a day to 3 X.
I was surpsied about the increase in BTmeds, but I think that I really should be able to get by on much fewer BT meds with this increase in my base.
