Do you live alone or with other people? Reason I ask is, it sounds like you are mouth breathing which makes me think you may be a snorer. If you are ,it's possible you have sleep apnea. This would cause you to fatigue in the daytime. If you live alone you may not realize you snore or if you do, you may not realize how bad it is.Buy a tape recorder if you are alone & check it out. There is treatment for sleep apnea.Just a thought.Hope you find some help soon.

I would have it checked at a sleep clinic if you think this could be sleep apnea.Sleep apnea causes people to stop breathing during their sleep (they may not even realize it).Their bodies are constatly waking them (to protect itself). This is why they are tired in the day.You may wake with a headache too, from lack of O2 in the night. My hubby's treatment was to get a CPAP machine. It forces air into your airway. It helps him alot. His sleep study showed his breathing was stopping 90 times an hour.No wonder he was falling asleep in the day. :D

I am assuming by your question that you ARE a teen. That being the case there are a couple of things to consider. Are you overweight?Do you still have your tonsils? Are they enlarged? How long have you had this problem? If you are aware that you are waking at night, it could be stress related & the more fatigued you are the more you tend to snore, which means you may not sleep as well.It can be a real catch 22 if you see my point.I am not saying a teen can not have apnea,it's just more things to consider.Enlarged tonsils can cause symptoms very similar to apnea.I would guess adnoids could do the same. How long is this going on?Do your friends ever hear you stop breathing?
