Can a degenerative back cause hot muscle cramps in a leg, or muscle spasms in the calf, behind the knee and ankle? I just sit at home exhausted from no sleep from chronic pain. The rheumatologist sends me to a neurologist who does a emg everytime I go with the results normal. (I have small fiber neuropathy also.) I have ambien and ultrim. They do nothing. The muscle cramps and spasms happen day and night. I went to my family Dr and asked for some help to get this all together and she told me I needed to talk talk to the rheumatologist, I went to see him and he said I needed to talk to the neurologist, I went to see him and he put me on meds that did not work for RSL. Help! Help! I have seen every Dr in this town. I can not take any antiflammatory drugs because of a severe stomach problem. Been through PT which makes things a lot worst. Now this muscle thing is the icing on the cake. It is like I am a puzzle in pieces and cannot get them put together. This will go on like this and then one day no pain and I think it is over then it hits me hard again.
