I recently engaged in a 3 month fling, though protected im starting to hear even with protection your not fully safe that still people are infected is that true could i possibly be infected ( not saying that parnter is infected) but what i'm asking is condoms are not affected against hiv

Condoms are the most effective barrier against HIV and any other STD's that you can use. Accidents can happen such as the condom breaking, which will of course put you at risk if you partner has HIV/Aids, but if your partner is STD free then you won't contract it. They can't pass on something they don't have.

If you are worried about it then the best thing to do would be to get an STD test done on both of you.

okay, but the condom has never came off or broken that kinda has relieved my stress but i'll still get checked

if you wore a condom during all your exposures and it didnt break or come off then you are fine and dont need to get tested.
