First off, let me tell you this..if you go to Curves religiously don't rely on the scale alone. I used to go to Curves and I just started back again last week. With Curves you tone and build muscle so the scale may say you have only lost 2 pounds but if you go by your measurements you may have lost 2 inches in your waist, one inch in each thigh and etc which means you have lost way more body fat then the 2 pounds the scale reflects and gained muscle. It is important to use your measurements and figure out your body fat percentage. While I was going religiously (3 times a week for 30 minutes) I lost 3 1/2 inches in my waist, 2 in my hips and 1 1/2 on each thigh. I wasn't dieting and I achieved this in six weeks. Then I quit my job and had to stop going. Now I am back on track again and can't wait to see the results.

Good Luck!!!

1. When you started: Sept 2001
2. How much you weighed when you started: 200 pnds
3. How much you weigh now:at the timeI was at curves I went to 138 pnds but it wasn't curves that helped me at all.
4. what is your goal and by when:130 in like 6 months
5. any other exersise you do:I was on a 500 calorie diet, tae-bo, bike riding, jogging on my treadmill, 8 min. abs, wearing a sweat sona suit, diet pills w/ephidra, and jump roping.

curves did nothing for me so I had to do those other things my sister never did loose and she was following there plans and niether did my friends. curves tried to take credit for my weight loss and tired to get ppl to sign up after they told them about me and alot of ppl were very hurt when I told them all the excersise and diets I was doing...I did even help out there and I know a bet of the secrets they do there so u think u r loosing weight but some ppl do have success so good luck to u...

I am 5ft 5 and weigh 141lb but I'm trying to get down to about 135/136. Whenever I make an effort to get into shape, I make sure that I don't get too slim as I want to still be curvy. If I start to look too slim, I start eating more. I can think of nothing worse than looking thin - I like being curvy and healthy.

Last time I got down to 132 it took about 2 months (from about 138). I completely cut carbs, worked out at least 4 times per week and took every opportunity (ie a lull at work) to do dips, legs raised, squats etc. I was pretty focused on getting into shape. It is SUCH a great feeling when you feel light on your feet and don't have to hide your body with long tshirts etc.

I never used to have weight issues - i've always been active - but recently, i've gone back to college while keeping a full time job so I'm often quite sedentary. The heaviest I ever got was 150lb - it was horrendous. I think age is also a factor too - i never had an issue until i hit 25.

When I was 150 it took me forever - around 2 years to get down to 135 - but i wasn't very consistant with diet and exercise and was very stressed out with work, school, and a live-in boyfriend who wouldn't help around the house.

I've been going for 2 months. I have gained 4lbs and lose 1.5 inches. The gain could be and probably is muscle. I joined to tone mostly but I need to work on lossing the fat that is coverign the new muscles as I am just getting bigger.

Hi,

I have been doing Curves for almost 2 weeks now and I have already seen some drastic changes in my body.

I have lost 6.5 pounds and my size 18 pants are very loose on me, within the next 2 weeks hopefully I will be back in my size 16 pants.

My knees aren't hurting me like they were, 6.5 pounds is alot on your knees considering every pound is like 100 on your knees.

I have been getting my energy back. What I am eating everyday is alot of help too. I try not to eat more than 1400 calories for my body.

When I went and joined Curves I weighed 197 and I am down to 191.5.

This program is definitely working for me. I just can't wait until the end of summer when I go back to work when everyone sees the new me, hopefully I can lose another 20 to 30 pounds by then, at the rate I am going now.

If you want to join Curves you have to work at it and still eat a good diet, don't pig out thinking the exercise will do it alone, it won't.

If you go into a curves and tell them that you are really thinking about it and not sure they will give you a guest pass, mine gave us three. So if you want to just go in and tell them, they will give you a guest pass.

Remember they are 39.99 a month without a year contract if you want to try it for a month to make sure this is what you want.

Hi, I started Curves back in March of 2004. My goal weight is 140lbs. or a size 7 whichever comes first. I'm also 5'8, and 21 years old. When I started I weighed 156 lbs. I lost 5 inches and 1 lb in a month! But then the next month I gained 1 1/2 pounds. So, in May I weighed myself. I was still 155. I wasn't very happy with it so I didn't weigh myself until July. In July I had lost 7 and 3/4 inches, I lost 4 pounds and 2% body fat!! I know that Curves does work. My sister-in-law went from a size 18 to a 10 in less than 2 years. Plus she was pregnant and had a baby in between then!! Give Curves a try, I like going there because I know that there are other women like me there. We do keep each other motivated, and everyone can share their results and we praise each other for it. I know if I wasn't going, I wouldn't have lost any weight, I have no motivation to work out by myself. But when I'm around others, we all talk to each other and it makes the time go by a lot faster and the next thing you know, 30 mintues have gone by and you're done. If you are thinking, "Wow, 1 lb. in a month." That's 12 lbs. in one year. 12 more lbs. that you probably wouldn't have lost by yourself.
