hi , :wave: i am wondering if anyone knows the best abdominal workouts? i carry most of my weight in the abdominal area and so i am wondering what is the best way to get the best workout for the abdominal area ? would the treamill help or situps ? please anyone who knows please reply thank you

Firstly, you HAVE to lose weight in that area. Cut down on carbs and DEFINATELY NEVER eat carbs after around 6pm - otherwise you'll have a protruding stomach the next day. Also, having good abs won't mean a thing if they're covered with fat.
Ok, so now you've cut down on food, onto the exercise. I use the 8 minute abs video (from the beach body collection) and also the abs of steel (which has 2, 15 minute workout)
Also, I used to lie on my back, put my heels and a chair - so there was a 90 degree and just lift up - about 100 of 'em!!

Yes, treadmill helps in burning fat from the area. Also, I work out on my abs FIRST when working out, that way, you're conscious of your abs are are able to tighten them throughout working on other areas.

NOT TALL AT ALL 5 FEET.2 INCHES.. 182 WAS AT 198 SO THE WEIGHT IS COMEING OFF ..

ok i dont get it if you say that you HAVE to lose the fat first then do the ab work out why does Winsor Pilates work?? that is ab work out people lose inches off of there stomach by working out... does that mean that you DONT have to lose the fat first??

Yeah, at that weight, you're not going to see any definition of your abs until you lose much more weight (but don't lose heart, you WILL eventually)
For now focus on losing overall weight and once you get down in size you can start really focusing on toning (but, in the meantime, still do weight training etc because that will burn also - you're just not going the see the definition yet)
I now weight 139lb and am aiming for 134. I do a LOT of abs work and I can actually feel with my hands the cut of my abs. But alas, the fat on TOP of my abs obscures the firm muscles beneath so Im not likely to see any definition until i've lost some weight.

You CAN wittle your stomach by doing cardio and dieting, but you can only get DEFINITION once your body fat is at a level that allows it to SHOW.
Imagine bedsprings with a silk sheet over them and being able to see the shape of the springs through the sheets - now imagine the same springs with a huge down comforter and the comforter being too thick to see the springs. With your abs, your NEVER going to see definition if theres 3 inches of fat covering them!!

Cause they're doing it in combination with diet. Plus they are burning fat when doing this (more than when watching tv).
