Hello,

Anyone have trouble with bloating or water retension? What do you do? This is driving me nuts!!!

I'm sorry I don't have any great ideas, just wanted you to know you're not alone. It hits me every once in a while - haven't been able to connect it with any particular foods or anything. All I know is I was out to dinner with my husband tonight, and and all I could think of was how much I wanted to just get home and tear off my pants! (And not in a way he'd enjoy!) It drives me nuts too.

I learned a really good remedy for this and it works for me. I read about it in Prevention magazine almost a year ago and have been doing it ever since. You drink a quarter cup of cranberry juice every day, and within 3 days your bloating will be gone and will stay gone. You just have to drink it every day. It works!! What I do is mix it with my cold water in my water bottle and drink it during the day. I sometimes have more than the recommended quarter cup per day, but it doesn't matter. That way I get my water that I should drink and the cranberry juice adds flavor to it.

My remedy is similar to beautyqueen's. I drink 56 oz of water mixed with 8 oz UNSWEETENED cranberry juice daily. For a technical view of how this works check out the Fat Flush Plan by Ann Louise Gittleman.

Interesting....do those cranberry pills taken with lots of water work as well, or must it be cranberry juice?

Hi,

I've seen the cranberry juice concentrate at health food stores - the man there told me if I took a quarter cup of that it would work - it's so strong though, you'd have to mix it with water. I don't like cranberries though.

I wouldn't use the concentrate, thats way too much. Just buy the Ocean Spray Lite or unsweetened at the grocery store and mix 1/4 cup with water.
