I've heard that Massachusetts is one of only a few places that officially state 6 weeks. It's odd though, as we also hear from other sources that a 6 week test is only about 90 to 95% accurate. In theory this would mean that up to 10% of the HIV+ people testing in Masachusetts would be told they are HIV- There is quite a bit of conflicting information about HIV on the web, it is hard to know which information to trust. It would be nice to believe that Massachusetts had the correct figures, but who knows... |
