You really can't tell with 15 pounds. Hydrostatic weighing is really the best method for determining the proportion but hard to do.

I am certain you lost fat, water, and muscle (I lost noticeable muscle at 30 pounds down  ), but how much of what....who knows?

Without going to chiropractor office I guess the best way is to look in the mirror naked (Almost). I f you losing mostly muscle, you will weight less but you still will look as fat especially the specific areas on your body where you've gained the most fat. Also look at the way your cloths fit. If the cloths getting bigger you are losing fat. Its almost impossible to gain muscle without gaining fat at the same time. When losing fat you will lose little muscle as well. The best way to prevent muscle loss, is to exercise like weight lifting and of course eat enough to support the increased metabolism.

The best way to tell if you're losing is to check your BODY FAT %

You can find tools that will do that sort of thing on www.healthcentral.com and then click on cool tools.

The is also a body fat calulator on my fitness page at www.mybeachbody.com/kraken

Remember, if you're losing a lot of weight fast, it's probably fat fat, muscle weighs much more, and as long as your giving yourself enough protein every day, you should be fine.
