The reason I am posting this is because I need to understand something. See my girlfriend has an eating problem, I really dont know if you can consider it an disorder but it needs attention. She hardly ever eats, she never eats breakfast and she only sometimes eats dinner. Shes gotten somewhat better lately but that doesnt do it for me. She says she gets sick when she eats and I think its either that she had made her body to get sick because she hasnt ate in a long time like vegitarians when they eat meat or whatever. Or that she thinks she will get fat and it could be self-image. I really dont know what to do, Ive tried talking to her but she doesnt listen. So if anyone can help me with what to say to her to try to get her to realize she has a problem or what excactly it is that is making her not eat. I just need to know something. Thank you to whoever takes the time to help.

How long has her eating habits been like this before? If I was ever approached by people about my eating...i would go on the defence..but..my closest mate did it perfectly- he said 'I really care about you..and I dont want you to be upset my what I say, but Im very worried about you because you seem to be eating very little. Is something bothering you'. This worked because I wasnt attacked e.g. 'why are you not eating' . Try talking to her again..but somehow go around the subject...(it's hard to explain)...just dont directly ask her about 'why' this and that.
