Hi, I'm really hoping that someone can help me. Recently I discovered a lump (enlarged node?) under the angle of my jaw. It is easily felt, is about the size of a dime, round, and slightly tender to touch. I don't recall ever having a node enlarge in this area and am worried about what it might be. I don't have a cold, but do have some seasonal allergies, and also a fly bite that swelled up on the same side of the neck, but much lower than it. Could any of this be related? I'd really appreciate hearing if anyone has ever experienced a enlarged node under the angle of the jaw and also any ideas of what the cause might be. Thank you.

The fly bite alone could be the culprit. You seem to be describing a reactive lymphnode. If it does not go away in a few weeks or becomes larger, see you doctor.

I have the exact same thing. Have you gone in to the doctor, yet? I did not have the bugbite, though. I discovered the lump under my jaw about 2 weeks ago. I went in to the doctor yesterday. She put me on an antibiotic (Zithromax) for 5 days, and I have to go back in Monday. If it has not gone down, then she is sending me on to a specialist. I am a little worried about what it might be. When I went in, I was running a low-grade fever, but I have been feeling fine, otherwise. Please let me know what you find out!

i just asked the same question as the first post! What was the result? I, too, just today, have a small lump right under my jawline closer to my chin than to my ear. a bit tender to the touch. what was your outcome?

I have enlarged node about almond size on my neck.i am so worried
