Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can help me? I had a DVT in my left leg in 2001 and was on Coumadin for 2 years. My doctors didn't know at first why I got it....being quite young (25) at the time, although I hear it happens more and more often in young people, which is sad. They eventually told me that I had a gene (but didn't say what the name of it was and I think I was in shock so never thought to ask!!) that made me more succeptible to blood clots and that I was also on the pill at the time which didn't help.
So my question is, I fractured and sprained my wrist about three weeks ago and now I am a little worried, ok maybe paranoid, that a blood clot may occur. Has anyone experienced this or know more than me?? It would be a great help!!
