CLA... does brand really matter? [Archive] - HealthBoards Message Boards

Hi, my sis bought a bottle of CLA capsules. It's not really a brand or anything. Pretty cheap. One capsule contains 500 mg conjugated linoleic acid which is about 70 %.

The ingredients are conjugated linoleic acid, gelatine, glycerol and water.

It says to dose 3 times a day twice a day (???)

Would one capsule a day make any difference? I don't want to do anything dramatically. Would it be better to use a different brand specialized in this type of stuff?

Any side effects or anything?

Would anyone recommend another brand? Which brand is best and safest?

What will happen when I stop using it?

Hi there. I use the Tonolin CLA. Its 1 capsule with each meal. no more than 3 capsules a day. It has 1000mg of CLA from Safflower seeds. I havent used any other brand. Lots of people on here use this kind. I think you just need to make sure its from Safflower or Sunflower seeds I think it is. Someone correct me if im wrong. I have been on it for 1 month and havent lost weight, but, my tummy has changed lots. Good luck.

Read the bottle carefully. Sometimes the Tonalin name is on the lower part of the label. Youhave to look for it. Also, where it states ingredients, where it says Citric linolium acid or however its spelled, it should tell you there if its from safflower or from what it came from. It may also be listed on the top part of the label somewhere. i found it in 2 places on my bottle. Hope you can find it!

I'm telling you, it doesn't say either of those things. I think I'm going to take this bottle back, and buy the Tonalin one. Thanks guys. :)
