Does it JUST simply say to sign this paper? What does the paper say besides you will receive a notice or check?

SSI and SSD are different but when you apply SSI would kick in THEN where as with SSD you have to be disabled for 6 months before it would kick in.

Ok.. I would say that it's very favorable. When my husband applied that was the last thing we had to do before receiving the first of 2 back checks. SSI is figured BEFORE SSD. What happens is they will give you a portion of SSI for ALL the months since you applied. THEN SSD figures your back pay (paying back SSI out of that if warrented).

Have you talked to your caseworker? Are you planning to have your checks direct deposited? Have they called and asked you for your routing number and bank info if you do plan that?

Also want to add that if you have a local SS office I would get the info they want and take it DIRECTLY to them. In all honesty I think the 90 day thing is just a fall back. We turned in my pay info on a Thursday and I don't remember how long they said but I wanna say 30-60 days and we had it in our bank that next Monday.
