I swear, it seems like they never get anything right. Besides taking forever (often an hour or more) to fill anything, they usually mess up at least one thing. Today, after I finally got my 2 scripts, I thought I was done and when I got home, realized they only filled a 90 tablet order at 40. I called and asked and was told the pharmacist thought it said 40. I looked at it and knew what it was. So now I have to drive 15 miles each way again to get the rest. I should ave looked before I left, but you know you really shouldn't have to do that.
I would change pharmacies, bt I have so many prescriptions I doubt if anyone else would take it on.Wal-mart was good when I first started there, but lately it's really bad.

they are without a doubt the worst on the planet. They love to screw with me since I'm getting pain meds. So... I switched to a slightly more expensive, but soooo much better... mom and pop pharmacy.

I also use a mom and pop pharmacy. They are better to deal with. It also helps that we are friends with the pharmacist. If he makes a mistake he will gladly make it right. We have tons of scripts with him as all of my children as asthmatics as well as myself. The locally owned pharmacies still believe in customer service because they need every one of their customers. Wal-mart doesn't care if you leave or not. There is always someone else to take your place when you use wally world.

Why do you say that? Most any pharmacy would be happy for the business.

I fill all my prescriptions at Wal Mart (I have many) and have never ever had a problem. I have even filled my narcotics early many times and they don't blink. We don't have a real large Wal Mart here, there are only 3 pharmacists and I am on a first name basis with all of them. They have been great. If they notice I am in pain they offer to give me a pill or two while I'm waiting and they then hurry filling it. I don't think I have ever waited longer than 1/2 hour for any scripts there. I am in Canada.

I used to use a Walmart pharmacy before I moved, they were great there. I never had a problem at all. I think alot of it is not the pharmacy but the pharmacist(s).
I have alot of problems with a CVS by me not wanting to fill my monthly meds, they want to split them in half saying insurance won't pay for 28 days of narcotics and yet if I go to Giant Eagle they fill the whole month at one time no problems at all, no questions asked. And they are actually alot cheaper than CVS.
The only one I will not go to is Walgreens, they are terribly over priced. Apparently pharmacies can decide what to charge for medications and when you pay a 20% copay you notice the difference when you go from one pharmacy to the next.

I also noticed that the larger pharmacies have lost that special customer service touch. My worst experience was with Rite-Aid up here in Bangor, ME. I felt as if they were giving me an attitude or were looking down upon me because I was filling pain meds including Oxycontin which has a big abuse issue up here in Maine. Since then, I also have been using a small mom and pop pharmacy and even though the prices are a bit more expensive, the service is well worth the extra price.

wow i never heard of a pharmacy giving you a pill or two while you wait...that is too cool!! definately a keeper too :D
I strongly advice using a hospital pharmacy if thats an option. My doc works in a clinic in a hospital...and not only are they cheaper...they have gone out of their way several times for me. They have called my ins. to get early refills (for dose increases, vacation, etc) and they do it right away so i dont have to wait all day. Another cool thing they did was when my doc wrote me a script for 10 mg OxyIR, which doesnt exist or they didnt have...so they just gave me double the amount of oxyir 5 mgs. Most pharmacies wont do this without calling the doc and you know how long that can take.
Also I have NEVER been told they dont have my meds in stock. They use so many narcotics for patients in house that they have to have them on hand at all times.
Its also convienant for me to fill there since my doc is in the same hospital.
good luck and i agree with the poster that said i would think a new pharmacy would be happy to have your business because you do have lots of med needs.
