Just an FYI on some recent info I located regarding AED and bone loss. Here is the link:

This is an article published Feb/04 from Cleveland Clinic.
I am a 40 year old male recently diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. All blood and urine tests done to date all have come back in the normal range which would suggest that taking dilantin for 22+ years has had an impact.
Thought others might be interested. If you have been on the "older" style AED's for some time it might be worth a conversation with your doctor about it.
