As long as you eat normally, don't eat more than you would normally eat. I am sure you could lose a pound a week.

Hope

That is what I did at first while taking a women's strenght lifting class.. Three days a week for a hour to 90 minutes as session. Was 245lbs then and lost about 28lbs the first semester by just cutting the sugar but not much else.

Yes. Put simply, you lose weight by burning more calories than you consume. :)

I agree with Surrealmeal. You need to burn more calories than you consume, so if you are an overeater, dieting may be something you will need to add to your weightloss plan. If you eat normally than yes, exercise should be enough.

It'd be better to adjust your diet somewhat. Not go on any extreme diet or anything. Just make it somewhat healthier.

ok cool. also people say that if you don't eat enough you'll gain weight... I think what I eat would be considered 'not enough' but it's not like I'm not eating just because... it's because I can't, I don't think my stomach is big enough to hold that much food. So is this a problem?

Sure, the question is what kind of weight will you lose. Unfortunately when dieting too much (less than 1500 calories per day) and exercising you will most likely lose a lot of muscle weight which in the end will lower your basic metabolic rate. In bodybuilding world where body fat percentage is very low but body muscle high diet is the 80% of the success. Workout is only around 20%. Only combination of exercise and proper diet works the healthy way.

I believe you are referring to "starvation mode", where metabolism slows and the body clings onto whatever food you put into your system. This supposedly occurs when a person tries to starve themself. I wouldn't worry about this too much, (as long as you're not trying to starve yourself!) Personally I don't think starvation mode is as powerful as people say it is. People have in fact lost weight by starving themselves. I am in no way advocating starvation; that is most definitely NOT the way to be fit and healthy.

I say, listen to your body and eat when you feel hungry. And when you eat, eat healthy.
