Hi everyone, I started noticing problems with my jaw about three years ago or so. Every once in a while it would act weird if I was eating something. My then dentist asked me to slowly bring my bottom teeth forward and I had trouble doing it without moving my whole jaw. He said something was off but never offered any solution and I never sought out help b/c I only noticed problems every great once in a while so I just let it go. Well, it has slowly gotten worse since then and I've started having a lot of problems the last few months. I think I have an overbite and my jaw will sometimes lock or make a noise if I eat or stuff and I'll have to kind of move it around in order to get it to go where I want. I have problems daily now and it is on the right side only. I have an apt with a new dentist on July 7th and am hoping to get some help. I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on what they thought it could, such as just an overbite, tmj, etc. If anyone has an idea of what it could be do you think I'll need surgery or hopefully something like a plate I can put in my mouth during the night. I don't know much about tmj but I'll go ahead and post it on that board too just in case. I don't know if this will make any difference but I'm 25 and still have my wisdom teeth. Thank you for your help.
