I've been dealing with this problem for almost 20 years now. I figure there has to be other folks with the same thing going on. I get sores in my nose that get infected every so often. Sometimes I can go for years without a flare up. My doctor(s) tell me its a staph infection and perscribe Bactroban nasal ointment. I've had decent luck with this but with all the antibiotic resistent strains of staph coming out now adays I'm reluctant to use it. I figure there has to be a way of preventing it. I don't pick my nose. The only thing that goes into my nose is a tissue. I'm constantly washing my hands and still I get them. Does anyone know of a preventative natural medication that I could use weekly or so to keep the bugs in check? One other thing was I've been using Tea tree oil with good results but it really dries my nostrils out and I've seen Tea tree cream available and was wondering if this might be a little easier on my nose. After all these years I'm suprised I don't have callouses in my nose. Thanks.
