I have very thick wavey curly hair. I pull my hair back alot which causes the front peicies of my hair to be sraight, when i do wear my hair down i can get most of it curly (the back part) with moose, and spritzer gels, but to me it looks bad, since its very poofy.I do not blow dry my hair after washing it, since it makes my hair very poofy and frizzy. My Hair Styliest suggested curling hair gel and drying it with a blow dryer with a defuser, this works but doesnt really help the poofiness. Does any one have any suggestions for getting rid of the "poofys"?? I have tried many of John Frida's products, like the brilliant brunnette, and frizze ease serum.

i went through years of curly frizzy, poofy hair. Then i found out how to control it. I guess it just depends on how long you want to spend on it. It takes about 45 mins to do, but it is nice for a change every now and then.My hair is straight now, i dont know if it is becuase i have been wearing it straight for so long or what but...now i really miss my curls and poof (i call it body). Any way, dont shampoo everyday, if you have to wash everyday, condition it and just shampoo like every 2 or 3 days. The natural oils are good for your hair. With washed hair, put it all up and pull out a little* section at a time. Get a Big round brush and blow dry each little section at a time on high heat while curling under. You can even put a little of a straighting serum on each section , it will help. When you are done, take a curling iron and flatten and smooth. Just if you want a change every now and then. Sport those curls though, im sure they are beautiful.

I have very thick curly hair also and have spent years trying to learn how to control it. So there are really two things you can do that have worked for me. First if you wanna straighten your hair you should use matrix extreme styling creme... it comes in an orange bottle. First put it through you hair when it is still wet from the shower. Then what i do is i blowdry my hair, but not straighten it with the blowdryer and a brush cuz believe me that can take forever!! What you can do to get rid of the frizz and puffiness is take sections of your hair and loosely braid it first then run the hair dryer over it. I just read that in a magazine and it works really well! This will make the curls much smoother. Then if you decide to straighten it take a flat iron and run it through small sections at a time until hair is straight. If you decide to leave it curly though after drying it just take some more matrix creme and put it in your hair which will leave it much softer. You can also run the matrix serum through it too. Hope i helped!!
