Hi to all can someone please help me my sister got into a fight asnd the women bit her and the women we heard has aids. My question is can aids be transferred by a human bite?

If the bite caused an open wound to your sister then there would be a means of entrance for the virus. Usually open wounds are causes for concern if blood from a positive person comes into contact with the open wound. If there was no blood involved then the risk is low. Generally saliva is considered to be very low risk means of transmission. A person with full blown AIDS will have more virus in their body then people who have not developed AIDS, but again the risk is still low if there was no blood involved from the positive person. I would still however get checked at three months to make sure, and i wish your sister well. |
