While walking to the train station today i felt a sharp pain under my foot. Once I got to the station I took my shoe off and observed a horizontal cut along the entire under side of my middle toe right foot. It hurts particulary while wearing anything other than flat shoes. It does not bleed and as soon as I came home i cleaned it and applied peroxidea and Neosporin. Anyone had problems with this? i remember having a similar problem when i was much youger and was told it came from walking barefoot outside. I live in the city and dont walk around with out shoes anymore some im concerned as to preventing this from reoccuring. I do not have blisters. Any comments suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Is the cut at the "wrinkle" in the bottom of your toe? If so, I've had those before, even as an adult. About the only thing I can think of to help prevent them is religious moisturizing of the toes and wearing of socks and/or shoes that don't let you bend the toes so far upward when you walk. HTH.
