Hello i am really worried for the last year i have been getting strange symptoms they come on last a few weeks or so then dissapear then a couple of months later they come back they include severe headaches feeling sick lack of appetite lumps on my hands up to 50 last time chronic tiredness this time i also had vast thirst even though my blood sugar is normal pain in kidneys asthma gets worse pain in joints and this time i also had a lump appear in my neck which nobody could explain but it disapeared in a week i dont seem to get infections and blood tests show nothing abnormal though i havent had a hiv test i have had unprotected sex with 2 men and am now worried sick i do suffer from herpes anyway and even get it on my ears but i cant say that has increased ive had a few mouth ulcers i havent had thrush oral or vaginal but does the coming and going of the symptoms fit with hiv i also had blood tests for an operation last year would they have screened for hiv and if so would they have told me if it was positive i live in the uk and am now worried sick!!!!!!!!!!! oh by the way i havent lost weight.

How long ago were your unprotected experiences? Do you know the HIV status of the men involved?

Your blood screening in hospital I think would have included HIV screening as standard (in the UK) but I am not 100% sure on that.

I would recommend going for a test if you are worried. Your symptoms don't sound very nice but they really could be anything. HIV is a rare thing. An STD clinic will give you results within 2 days.

Yes I would difinatley get tested, I know it can be scary, I have been getting weird syptoms I know I need to get tested, but I am afraid to hear the results. But hey if you do it I will. Good luck to you, wish me luck.
