Hi--

I was just wondering what kind of doctors treat people with FM.
After going through a couple of doctors, I finally found a rheumatologist who is educated in the disease and has been treating me terrifically for about two years now.

Is everyone's main doctor a rhematologist? What kind of doc treats your FM?

1 1/2 years, however he felt unsure and had me go see a rheumy. Well, the rheumy really couldn't figure out why I was there...He said yes , I had fibro, and my doc was doing a good job dealing with the pain...and that I was doing a good job dealing with the rest!LOL

After 5 year runaround I too am being treated by a rheumatogist who has a great understanding of treating fibro patients. (TT)

I am treated by my PCP who I 've been seeing for eight years or more. We don't have a rheumy here and the lupus "specialist" is a heartless moron. But my PCP does a great job and believes in my illness so I consider myself lucky.

I also see a Rhuemy. He is supposed to be very good with fibro patients. However, I do not have that much experience with him yet. I have only seen him twice. I'm going to ask about a support group in the area on Tuesday. I would like to speak with more patients.
