Hey everyone, ive been doing my usual exercising routine, which starts with carido, leg workouts and stomach workouts. But i cant seem to get rid of my lower stomach area. I have been doing stomach exercises which are supposed to tone all areas of the stomach, but i have only seen results in my upper abdomen, and it is starting to look a bit wierd. My upper abdomen is starting to get more toned and musclier than the lower half which i was aiming to tone in the first place, and it looks a lil unproportional. So if anyone can give me any advice, exercises that i should do or should discontinue would be a great help. thanks in advance!

Firstly, for the lower abs you absolutely HAVE TO drop a little weight. If I'm not at or below a certain weight I just can't get the lower part flat. Also, don't eat late a night as this seems to exacerbate the problem.

That said, for the lower abs I do these exercises.

1. lie on back, feet together, knees apart, hands behind head and lift your legs from floor to as high as you can - towards your head - lifting your butt of the floor. Don't swing though, use the muscles
2. lie with legs flat out in front, put hands under butt and lift legs out straight
3. lie on back and move legs as though you're riding a bicyle and put hands behind head and turn to touch left elbow to right knee and right elbow to left knee. The closer to the floor your legs are, the more it will work.

I got these exercises from the '8 Minute Abs' video (which I LOVE!!)

ps DON"T take breaks in between, keep going. its the constant strain that will work the ab muscles and when it starts to get difficult, work EVEN harder.

good luck
