Hi,

This is my story and I would like advice and opinions please. I met a woman out we had unprotected sex, I know, but anyway too late now. We kissed, I fingered her vigorously, she performed oral on me, I performed oral on her for a very short period of time, then I penetrated and ejaculated inside of her. I didn't ask the pertinent questions prior or after and quite frankly am afraid to even call her in fear of the possibility of hearing what I don't want to hear. But, I am trying to muster the courage to call. That encounter took place 2 1/2 weeks ago . For the past week I have had swollen glands in my neck, my skin has been itchy on the arms and chest, my neck is stiff (which could be due to uncomfortable sleeping positions which is common for me), I have been coughing alot, no fever but did have hot flashes, headaches off and on which is uncommon for me, , I have pain in my arms and under arms most recently, a stiff neck, no rashes, but have been itching alot, I also feel now like my arms and neck are hot an inflamed. I get very tired in the evening but feel ok in the morning.

The encounter was very brief, I actually was ejaculating while entering and as soon as I came I pulled out. I would like for some opinions on my risk factors with this type of occurrance. Also , I stupidly had unprotected oral and vaginal sex with my exgirlfriend. But, we just recently had sex for the first time i week ago after the incident with the other woman.

My questions are as follows:
1. Could the ARS symptoms come on as early as 1 to 2 weeks?
2. Could there be another STD that could cause these symptoms in that period of time.
3. Please answer and provide all opinions and known statistics possible, because as are alot of the others on this board I am at the point of breakdown in worry.

Thanks in advance and please provide all insight and knowledge.

Keep your head up man,I am in the same position that you are and am trying to remain sane. The fact that you had unprotected sex puts you at risk and would be wise to get tested. That being said the transmision from female to male for a one time unprotected exposure is fairly low.ARS symptoms usually appear about 2-6 weeks but in rare cases could appear within a week. The flu like symptoms could be from a number of things.Get tested for all std's.chances are your fine.
