Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering what is the leading cost for migrains. My girls suddenly started sufering from them. I would say that, that is what she has, her symptoms include extreme headaches, cant bare to see any light and get very nauses. Can stress be a reason for this? And Also what opions do you guys have on helping her out. Thank you

something is messing with their neurotransmittors, stress comes in many forms from pollution, anxiety attacks in various forms, physcial activity, not eating enough, going from heat to cold and back again is stressful for the body, hormonal changes there are so many factors that stress the body, exercise is a positive stress but stress nonetheless. lack of enough nutrients such as vit min protein, good carbs that sorta thing.
I hate it when a doctor says your problem is stress (well duh!!) what kind of stress is it and what can I do about it is the question not whether you are under stress, everyone is constantly under stress, stress is only pressure from heat cold hunger physcial work, making decisions, lack of sleep, that sorta thing. I think they just say your stressed because they dont' want to tell you they dont' know why your are having problems as the test results are normal.
normal compared to what? anyway hormones would be my first clue of migrains as teh body is sensitive to changes of hormones that influence the neurotransmittors balance.
I would go to a neurologist if a doctor can't seem to help, no need to suffer there are to many drugs on the market, herbs such as feverfew, hops, b vitamins, valerian, or even try eating pasta with out meat or cheese to see if you can get serotonin levels up before an attack, there are so many ways to deal with it.
they are not really sure why migraines happen to some and not others under identical conditions it could be a fault relay in the neurons in teh brain with keeping serotonin levels at optimal levels, (sometimes just plain not eating enough on time can lower serotonin too) it could be toxins in the body that accumulate in the neurons and teh body has to constantly fight to keep serotonin levels in proper amounts.
things like lead, mercury, aluminum, (by the way many pesticides commonly used have arsenic in them) and other toxins in our enviroment, sure they have standards of how much a company can spew out into the enviroment what they fail to tell you is the breakdown of some of these chemicals take eons and they accumulate in our tissues and in the enviroment, they are still detecting large amounts of ddt in mud flats and oyster beds in nc waters. ddt was banned along time ago.
you can't trust what they tell you because even if they have good motives they really dont' know how much of toxins we are absorbing or what effect they have. there are alot of bias in sciecetific research (consider who pays for the research will tell you if they have a hidden agenda).
so what really causes migraines for sure? don't know if anyone knows let me know as I would be very interested to.
