Appx 2yrs ago during a baseball game, I began to feel severe back spasm and knots. I got to the point where it affected my right arm to the point I could not even lift it. I have not played sports for appx a year because of this severe pain. I am trying to get back into it but after 1/2 game I pain is unbearable and I cannot even lift my arm. Any suggestions or thought would be greatly appreciated. I was going to try some device ex(Dr Ho's) messager.

Welcome to this board. You have found a great place for help. I have a couple of questions for you. Have you been to the doctor for this pain? Did they do any testing (X-ray, MRI, etc)?
Your pain sounds like pain related to a cervical disk in your neck, but it could be anything. As far as back spasms- a muscle relaxer is wonderful. Of course, you are pretty much useless after taking one, but it does help with the spasms. Also, ice and TENS really helped me. TENS is electronical stimulation of the muscles. It stopped mine from having spasms. I hope this information helps, but more info. on your end would help everyone give you accurate advice. I hope things get better for you soon.

Thanks for the info. The area which is inflamed appear to me to be the musles that run along the thoracic spine area. On both side of the spine I experience knots. Motion of my right shoulder and arm appear to increase the tension which also causes headaches. Duing day to day normal movement there is no problem. Just during exerction of sports. Throwing a baseball. I have had no physical examination whatsoever. It may seem weird but when I get really relaxed a take a deep breath I can hear and feel this area crack and I feel a really nice release of pressure. Any more imput would be appreciated.
