Greetings,
I also have (had)plantar fascitis.I was given a pair of lifts to put in my shoes. These have helped alot They were a little pricy but wroth every penny.I do have to wear good shoes.I don;t wear sandals or fancy shoes.I'd rather be pain free that wear shoes that bother my feet.
Hope this has helped.Only have surgrie as a last resort..Take care and good Luck

Treatments include orthodics, wraps, stretching exercises, injections, and surgery.

There are also night splints that you wear in bed at night. They keep the foot in a neutral position, while softly stretching the tendons. When I wear mine like I'm supposed to, they seem to help, but they are bulky under the sheets, so I tend not to wear them as often as I should.
