last night 2 hours after eating my blood sugar was 119. this didn't concern me until other employees (it is a hospital setting) were tested and their readings were all less than 100. my husband is diabetic, so i used his monitor this morning before eating and my reading was 108. i thought that for a person without diabetes, their morning reading should be less than 100. one hour after eating, i tested my sugar again, and it was 138. Tonight, my reading was 95 prior to eating 2 pieces of pizza and 145 90 minutes later. i know a non-diabetic person's sugar does fluctuate with eating, but i'm not sure of the ranges. any advice/suggestions?

You should not have a reading of 145 90 min after the pizza...neither should you have a reading of 119 2 hrs after eating. Your fasting was 108....not optimal either. Although those readings don't qualify you as *Diabetic* , you need to get those #s lower and seek the advice of a Dr.

The most accurate times to test include fasting (upon waking) and 2 hours after meals (post-prandial). You can also test just before a meal as a reference, but don't make yourself crazy by testing at various times after meals - stick with the 2 hours for consistancy.
The numbers you posted suggest that you are borderline diabetic, or glucose intolerant. Normal fasting range is 60-110 and you are under that, though doctors are starting to diagnose at 99+ range, which I don't disagree with.
You didn't mention what you ate when you got the 119 post-prandial result. Also, you didn't mention what you had with your pizza (for example, sodapop?) or how big the pieces were. The 145 reading is concerning, but because it was 90 minutes after the meal, its not really a reliable test - for example, you likely would have tested lower had you waited the extra 30 minutes.
Since you have a glucose monitor, you can certainly monitor yourself over the next few days and see what the results are. It would make sense for you to see your doctor for official testing and diagnosis, however, regardless of those results, it won't hurt you to begin modifying your diet in an effort to prevent the onset or worsening of diabetes.
