I finally heard from my dr about tests she ran after examining a tiny hard node above my collar bone on the left side. I was worried about this after reading about hd and it felt much different than my other palpable nodes (which I have always been able to feel, I'm very thin) This one feels kind of like a tiny glass bead. My dr didnt seem extremely worried after i had to put her finger on the spot since she couldnt feel or find it on her own. But she didnt blow it off either or say it was nothing to worry about. A few days after seeing my dr i noticed that I have an almost identical tiny hard node on the other side which is slightly less easily palpable. Does that mean it isn't abnormal for me? My dr ordered a few blood tests and a chest x ray and results were all normal, I am scheduled to see my dr again in a week for a follow up on the antibiotics she also perscribed which by the way did not seem to diminish the node at all. What does a chest x ray mean in diagnosing possible lymphoma, if anything? Should i feel better and just assume everythings ok or should i demand more tests even if she decides to blow me off?

A normal chest xray means that no shadows, lumps, bumps were seen. A chest xray is good for spotting signs of pneumonia, and all sorts of irregularities of the lungs and thalmus. etc. I would drop the issue unless I am having symptoms that are too uncomfortable to ignore. But that is truly what I would do. You have to decide whether to pursue it.

you may want to look up ' shotty beads ', assuming you have not already done this. I have two ' glass ' beads ( often called lead ) just below my ear. I am seeing an ENT about a larynx disorder. I understand that many MEDICS consider these hard nodes to be normal, but i will point mine out to the ENT I does not feel right. as i cannot locate any other nodes
