Hey Subs,
I was just wondering when you were in your 11-13 month recovery period were you hit with any colds in this period and, if so, did you suffer any decompensation as a result? When were you first able to make it through a cold without any vestibular fallout?
I thought I was going to get through this current cold without any hiccups but that's not the case. For 3 days (the cold has run its course now btw) now I'm getting lab symptoms I haven't seen for approximately 8-10 weeks. Drunk feelings and feel I'm being "pulled" to the left or right as I walk. Also some angst is being generated but not too bad.
Thanks...hoping this will die out within the week.

Hi Scott
Yep---with each cold---that happened---but with each cold---it impacted me less---until it did not impact at all.

Hi Scott,
Yes this is entirely normal, as they told me its that the brain has something else to deal with and decomp  is exactly whats going on! Subs is right as you get better you will find that colds effect you less and less. absolute best thing you can do is move around again and carry on to give your brain a chance to retune. :) You should be as good as new within a week or two tops. I am the midst of yet another cold and its not really hit me that badly yet (*dare I write that*) dizzy wise. But geeze normally this would put me into the state that you are decsribing, who knows what tomorrow will bring! LOL. You will get back on track very soon, keep on trucking, you will get there!
Emys - I know you are having a rotten time of it, chin up, this will pass.!! :bouncing:

Thank you Lords of inner ear dysfunction! What would I do without you all?? Today is day 4 of decomp and it *looks like* things are smoothing out again...just have some shocking neck and shoulder tension fallout now.... nothing the old chiro can't snap out tonight I hope.
Em...I was thinking about you wondering how your cold was impacting your already stirred up symptoms from the train trip. What a nightmare this thing is. I think what Ilia says is right on though...we just have to keep moving regardless and force the brain to get a grip and sort this out. Hope your spirits are still up!
