I have a question. I looked back over some of your posts and skimmed them so I can't honestly say that I've read them completely but I have to ask what your association is with disability claims. I'm not asking to start any trouble but I have to say that I notice you are pro attorney ... right after initial where as I'm not. I totally agree that once you have to go in front of a judge it's 'required' to have a lawyer by your side so I've never said NEVER get an attorney. I like to learn and would like to know what you know that can help others do things a bit better and faster.

Because of past problems, I cannot give out personal information over the internet. My posts are simply my opinion, nothing more. I do, however, disagree with your characterization that I am pro-attorney. I am pro-claimant. Reasonable (and unreasonable) people can and do disagree all the time, even as to whether an attorney should be involved at all in a disability case, much less as to what stage they might be of service. I believe that the vast majority of claimants have a much better chance of success with the assistance of an attorney, the sooner, the better. My opinion is based on first hand experience with literally thousands of Social Security disability cases; as well as a thorough review of the published literature in the field. But as I said earlier, it's only my opinion.

Purplebill,
I sure wish I could retain your "opinion". :) I have gotten advice from you on several occasions on the board. I am sending in my reconsideration paperwork tomorrow. I'm just praying that I am in the lucky less than ten percent that get approved at this level. I was honestly shocked that I was not approved on the first application. Anyway, I just wanted to say stick around Purplebill and continue to give us your "opinion". I for one am thankful for it. Although sometimes I don't exactly like hearing what you have to say, but I appreciate the honesty.
God Bless,
