heels04 06-28-2004, 07:43 AM What are the usual symptoms of and HIV infected person who has performed oral receptive sex? And is HIV the most common disease transmitted through the act? Sponsor avron 06-28-2004, 08:51 AM Symptoms of early HIV infection MAY include flu-like symptoms, rashes, sore throat, night sweats, fever and swollen lymph glands. Recieving oral sex is considered low risk and almost non existent. Common STDs from recieving oral sex are: herpes and warts. those diseases are easily contracted as they are skin diseases, meaning they are transmitted through skin-to-skin contact. Chlamydia, gonnorrhea and other UTI's CAN be contracted through oral sex, but not as easy as herpes and warts. heels04 06-29-2004, 07:49 AM I performed oral sex about a month ago, swallowed a little too. There are no cuts in my mouth or anything. About two weeks after, my appetite has changed. I'm eating ALOT less. My stomach has been messed up seriously; I've suffered serious constipation, and the only time my bowels move is after taking a laxative, so it's usually diarrhea. Lately, my appetite has been almost non-existent and I'm starting to feel very tired (possibly from the lack of food in my system). My bowels move when I make myself go, and they are somewhat loose, not watery like diarrhea, but my appetite is still not back. I was wondering if it could have been from the variety of medicines I took within the past week (ex-lax, pepto bismol, and antacid tablets). But I thought it would be gone by now. I'm not sure that this is related to HIV, but I'm VERY conerned. There have been no swollen glands. Can anyone relate to this or understand the problem?? happyfillmore 06-30-2004, 01:16 PM me too i have been constipated cant eat anyhting i used to eat like a pig and clean out buffets now i eat like twice a day and am never hungry. i had dihera one day but that was after i drank like 6 tropican antioxident boost drinks so i think that did it. Longwaysouth 06-30-2004, 08:14 PM Avron is right. Giving oral sex poses an extremely low risk of HIV transmission (as the inserter it is essentially nil). SYMPTOMS ARE IRRELEVANT! Both of you are describing symptoms that relate to 4 trillion other things and are 100% compatible with the symptoms that every other negative person in this forum (including myself) has or had. Those eating problems are caused by stress and anxiety and are very common. The mind is VERY powerful. First question you may want to ask is, " Do I need to have a test for HIV?" The answer is up to you. You probably should have one, but just and only because you are sexually active. Next problem you will have is, "What am I going to do when I realise that HIV is not the problem and I am now hungry?" Do I 'pig out' and go and 'clean out that buffet' like I used to? Be careful, because the biggest problem you two are going to face is eating yourselves to death when you realise HIV is not your problem. Longwaysouth |
