I was wondering how likely it is to contract HIV from an infected person if you have unprotected sex for oh say..the first 2 minutes and then wear a condom the rest of the time? ok here's my story. I would appreciate any feedback please because I worry myself sick. I had sex with a guy who I'm not dating (I know, stupid). The first two times we did it we used a condom and 2 weeks later I got tested for STD's (but not HIV because it's too soon)and everything was okay. Then 2 weeks later we had sex again (after I got tested) and the first couple minutes was unprotected until I asked him to wear a condom and we finished protected. I honestly don't know if he's been with anyone else during the 2 week time period. That's why I'm worrying myself sick and I have been wondering how likely it is to get HIV from a couple minutes unprotected. Sorry this is so long and I appreciate any sort of help. Thanks

Well I would imagine that the longer you have unprotected sex then the greater your risk. I do know that it is more likely for a woman to become infected then a man but none the less a one time exposure for two minutes would be relatively low risk, especially if there was no fluid released by your partner. I would still get tested at three months, or ask your partner about his status. good luck
