View Full Version : Toxic Mold and Ear Infections

Hi,

I have just found out that there is mold growing around my house. Upstairs it is brown, and downstairs it is black, and I know black mold is not a good thing. I am prone to ear infections, I get them constantly, but not until a year ago did this start happening. I never had any allergies either until recently. I was wondering if this was maybe caused by the mold? I haven't had anyone here to look at it yet, but I will soon.

Hi Spree,

The mould doesn't sound great but I'm not sure it could be causing you ear symptoms directly, however, maybe it is via an allergic response. Is the house damp? Probably if the mould is there. Can you get a de-humidifier to dry things out a bit? Maybe an allergy test to see if the mould is problematic or simply a co-incidence.

Cheers...Scott
