Can anyone tell me if TMJ can cause earaches, headaches and ruptured eardrums? I am going thru my second go around with a ruptured eardrum with a puss pocket. I do have pressure, throb, pop, cold itchy feelings, several crickets trying to sing all at once on different levels. LOL After 5 days of IV antibiotics, and eardrops . still no better. My last visit to the ENT, i was told that i have some hearing loss and that my TMJ was on the warpath, but did not tell me if it was related to the TMJ or just a infection. :bouncing:

Hi countrygal:
TMJ can definitely cause earaches and headaches but does not cause ruptured eardrums.

Thanks Tiffany. Just have to figure out why i keep getting the infections and the ruptures. Just thought that the TMJ might not be letting the ear drain therefor causing the infections..... Thanks
