I work as a dishwasher. Been doing so for 3 years now. Over the past year and a half I have started developing these bumps on my hands. I was informed by the owner that they were called water bumps. They get large when my hands are under water for a while but when dried out you can barely even notice the bumps. They are like sponges in a way. I've tried doing a search but found nothing on "water bumps". Is there a name for this?

I have a problem with the palms of my hands and saw ur post. DOn't know that what I have is the same is yours..so Im just inquiring. See with my hands.... You know how when you can be in the water for long periods of time your hands kinda get wrinkly. Well my hands kinda do that but at a fast rate. But its more like the skin of my palms swell up and eventully they crack and itch..the only I can do is have have good cream/lotion and let them turn back to their normal selves with in an hour. Ive just had this problem ever since I can remember and just trying to find someone that shares it. When my hands arent in water..like rightnow..ther as smooth as a babys skin.
So with your hands.. its just bumps?
Sorry if I havent helped you :(
