My daughter who is 14 and addisonian since 2 finally had her first period last month. A few days before she was very fatigued and had to stay home from school and take extra cortef. She also had alot of cramping and burning when she went to the bathroom. Is this typical? I was wondering if it is common for females who are addisonian to have difficulty when they have their periods. I am not sure if I should call the doctor or not. She is due to start again and she is having the same symptoms. Any info and advice about this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Your daughter should probably increase when she has the first sign of starting her period. If there are any symptoms of urinary infection she needs to go to the doc immediately. Some women get an infection, don't know it & have a crisis. Best to be very aware of what the body is telling her. Good advice from Chris! Wanda
