I'm trying to incorporate more brown rice and mixed wild rice in my diet but other than cooking it in stock or adding a little coconut milk, how can I make it taste better??

The coconut milk made me picture U on a stranded island. I love wild rice
cold for lunch in stuffed tomato, or mixed w/ crushed pineapple, or w/ chili
powder & green onions. Seems to taste better cold. I find little to do w/
brown rice hot. I still mix that w/ cold chkn. for lunches. I add rice to most
soups. I thought coconuts were hi in cholesterol? I had a lettuce wrap w/
brown rice & sweet/sr Sc & it was good. Still, I like it cold.

Hello, I love brown rice and wild rice. You could mix the 2 together. Also, why not just put a little dab of butter/butter-like spread on it? You can also make sauces to accompany it. It also, makes a really good rice pudding. We've used cashews in with it. You can put salsa in it or mix in kidney beans. Stir fry it in with scrambled eggs and soy sauce.

I eat LOTs of brown rice - I love it! For me, I love to mix in a bowl, brown rice, fresh broiled scallops and snow peas - no sauce, no butter - thats all I need.

Another idea is to combine brown rice, toasted almonds (or walnuts), chopped onion, raisins, and chunks of your favorite white meat (chicken, pork, or fish)... very yummy.
