I have been having estw on my ankle, just finished third treatment, and now have to wait six weeks to see how the tendon is doing. Still feel the same pain when I am on standing to long. Anyone have any experience with estw for the ankle. Thanks

not real sure what that is, i had my peroneal tendon fixed in surgery, deepened groove and screwed it in place. What is this treatment?

The actual name of the treatment is extracorporeal shock wave therapy. They place the machine over the area that has the pain and you actually receive shocks to that area.

When you had your surgery - how long were you off your feet?

I had a Brostrom Repair in August of last year. I was NWB for 3 weeks, CAM walker for 5 weeks (weight-bearing) and then a soft ankle brace. I was off of work for about six weeks.

I was nonweightbearing for 7weeks, then in a boot for another 6 weeks. What is your injury to your peroneal tendon. Have you looked into surgery??
What procedure have they looked into? With my surgery they deepened the groove the tendon slides into and then anchored the tendon in place with a screw in to the bone. Hope this helps.
