You should ask this question on the menopause site. Many ladies use progesterone cream on that site.

Actually, it is quite relevant here, too. Many women should use progesterone cream to help get them hormonally balanced. There are so many estrogens in out foods today, especially the processed foods, that women find themselves with bad PMS and other symptoms of estrogen-dominance. Progesterone cream can help balance a woman's hormones to reduce PMS and lift libido.

Wondering though, I'm taking diane-35 to regulate my periods. Started a couple of days ago. I've had a continuous period for the last 10 months.... Will progesterone cream work to regulate or stop them?
Any experiences??

I wouldn't take that on top of what you are taking. It might really mess you up. I tried progesterone cream once one month and it made my period heavier than ever that month. I'm just letting nature take its course now at my age.

Hello,
I have been researching progesterone cream for awhile, have been using it for 2 months and since, I feel the best I have in months! Our situations are a little different at this point since I am 31 and taking the lupron shot (temporary menopause) for my history of severe bleeding for months on end and terrible pain. However, I have several friends who are now using it and are having great success. They are all using it for PMS and now are hardly noticing any symptoms of PMS. What the natural progesterone does is balance hormones. Your body can use it to balance estrogen or change it into whatever hormone it may be lacking in. I wish I would have known about progesterone cream before I went through all of this past year. When purchasing the progesterone cream don't just buy the least expensive, check the lable for ingredients. Try to purchase a product that does not contain petrolium/mineral oils and has natural Progesterone or USP progesterone (not plain wild yam, it has to be changed to progesterone in a lab). I have been using FemGest and am going to try ProGest by Emerita. I have had great success with the FemGest but got the ProGest cheaper this time. Good Luck and let us know how it turns out!

Wow, thank you all for your responses!
I am thinking of weaning off diane-35 and trying progesterone cream now. I have good info thanks to you all and hopefully It will work...better than all this synthetic crap. I was also wondering, I have slightly elevated testosterone and i was wondering if it would help with that....
oh, one more thing, I dont understand something. When we shed our lining is when our progesterone levels increase and of course when we get our period. So if progesterone is increased...doesn't it cause us to bleed more??
Or maybe i dont know what I'm talking about. My doc explained it to me recently and tried his best to put it in lay mans terms, but maybe it didn't come out right....(!?!?!?)
thanks again guys!

Some of you associated the cream with menopause but I was wondering if I can use it for ovulating. I dont ovulate becuase my estrogen level is low......Please let me know.
