Hi everyone.
About 3 months ago, I had a serious throat infection.
Afterwards, due to some pain, I underwent three months worth of blood tests, which all proved negative.
My initial concern were little lumps on my neck, you couldnt see them, but could feel them, like the shape of little almonds on either side, only one each side, just above the neck bone.
I had them checked, the doctors all said they were just little lymph nodes, and my blood tests results showed signs of Glandular fever.
Should I be worried about these lumps? Is it true you have little nodes in your neck?
They havent grown in three months, and I have been told my white cells are below normal, which means im more proen to infection.
Any ideas ? Should I continue to be worried by them?

Swollen glands from an infection take a long time to go down, since you have seen your doctor & have had all those tests, don't worry about them, they will go down, just takes time.

Hi Lori,
Thank you for your reply.
Its just this one of the side of my neck thats worrying me. Although its about the size of a baked bean, it can be moved slightly, hasnt grown as at all, but the more I rub it and feel it, the more it tends to be quite saw, not painful, but my neck is very tense.
I think I will give it another month, then go back and see whats going on.
I had loads of blood tests done, FBC and stuff, so I would of thought they would of spotted it there if it were serious.
You just read so much about cancer and stuff.

I also had the same problem as you but it was just my lymph node on the right hand side of my neck that was swollen. After all the test which came back negative the doctor decided that I should have it removed. I had ignored it for months and months and there was no change in shape what so ever hence the reason my doc suggested the op. I was in and out of the Hospital in just over three hours, it could have been sooner but they wouldn't let me leave until I ate and I am not a fan of hospital food.
We all have umpteen amount of lymph nodes all over in our necks, arm pits and the grone area.
