The lump on the back of my neck is located on the top right side of my neck and is maybe 1/4 of an inch big. and seems to be stuck to the muscle, because it doesnt move. And it seems to get bigger smaller harder and less harder. Any ideas, im very scared.

Also below that is a bb size round unmoveable ball that seems to be stuck onto the muscle. But on the parralel side of my neck there is the same thing, so I think that one is natural but the right side one seems to be bigger.

btw I just noticed these a month ago, and they havent gone away. Also Im 14

They say if it doesn't move, then it really needs to be checked out. So I would recommend you get to the doc and let him check it. Probably a cist or something, but you never should let it go!

Here is the problem, I cannot go to the docter because my dad is my legal guardian and I live with my grandma and I wont call him.

I had that once too, I didn't know what it was and it wouldn't go away so I sterilized a needle and poked a hole in it and in a week or two it was gone. I don't know if it was a safe thing to do though, so maybe you shouldn't do it.. I'm not sure, maybe ask your grandma for advice??

I ran into a situation where a child needed to see a Dr...Her Mother ...Father still had custody..yet she lived else where......Call your local Health Dept...They can direct you on where to go with out your Fathers permission.....What in the world would your G-ma do in an emergency..Its none of my bussiness..but if living with your g-ma she needs a legal paper from your Dad giving permission to treat you.....As young as you are..I doubt its serious..but still have it checked out........

I have recently discovered a similar thing on my own neck. i am going to the doctors about it tomorrow so i will update you but basically if it gets bigger and smaller etc it is unlikely to be serious. you can get it removed though if its bothering you. dont poke it with a needle!
