I had a very weird experience at work today.
I work in customer service and you know those headsets they make you wear when talking to customers?
Well near the end of work today I was sitting there talking to a customer and I got this really weird tight pressure feeling in the back of my throat like something was pressing on the back of my throat.
The headset that I was wearing, my pulse started beating so hard for a minute that it made my left temple move and my earpiece on my headset moved with it.
I was so scared! It only lasted for maybe 30 seconds or so. I felt fine, just very scared, I didn't get dizzy or anything.
Does anyone know what could have caused this?
Please help me!

Sounds like a panic attack, have you been under stress lately? Panic attacks can cause a variety of symptoms, racing heart, heart beat in ears, sense of trouble swollowing & the list goes on & on.

I agree it sounds like a panic attack. Could be hypoglycaemia or thyroid or another similar problem. I would see a doctor if it happens again a few times. Just about everyone has a panic attack in their lifetime, the problem is if they persist. They can't harm you and are a normal but out of context reaction to stress or fear :)

I would get my blood pressure checked just to be on the safe side if I were you.
