For about a week I have had a pain in the back of my right thigh and no matter what I do it wouldn't go away and I exersize everyday but yesterday it stopped hurting a lot but the pain is still there a little bit but not as bad and if I tense up my leg it turns into a charlie horse. What could it be?

I think most of pains in the back thigh is related to pinched nerve in lumbar spine. Try this: Lie down on your back, lift your streched right leg slowly toward vertical. Feeling pain in the leg at some level of lifting siggests pinched nerve.

It could be the lumbar as suggested or it could be the sciatica nerve as well, both will give the same sensation.

To relieve sciatica pressure try this:

lay flat on the floor on your beck, bend both knees up, feet flat on the floor, place your foot (the leg that hurts) on the opposite side of your opposite knee, still bent. Grab your knee and gently press the affected leg towards the floor downward (towards the other knee), hold for a few secdonds and release, repeat a few times.

Hope that made sense it's hard to explain but easy to show :0

If it continues you should get it check out. I wouldn't exercise it any to try to get rid of it until you know for sure what it is, you could do extra damage or irriate it more.
