Hi Emsybobs

I read one of your post about the VRT you are having done, and wondered what "dizziness handicap inventory" was and also what is CBT?
I found it interesting that someone told you that the more a person worries about being dizzy the less likely they are to have a speedy recovery (is that right)

I am doing VRT off a sheet given to me by my specialist called cawthorne cooksey exersices, what do you do? Have you tried those exercises?

I wonder if you know about walking, i walk 20 mins a night and it makes me dizzy so i thought that must be good thearpy?

could do with the advice as i'm sure you know VRT is very slow and as i have just started it i wonder how long before you notice the effects?

Thanks

Sorry for delay shen - computer been out of action.

Ok yes I know the cawthorne cooksey, these are the ones most widely used - they are ok...

It takes anywhere from 3 months to a year to see improvements!

Not so much anxiety stopping recovery - more that balance should be an automatic process so not focussing on it makes this process more automatic...

Dizziness handicap invetory is a questionnaire which patients rate as to how handicapped they feel...it is used for assessment...

CBT is Cognitive behaviour therapy...

Yes walking for 20mins = good. I too find the dark v v troublesome.

Hope this helps xxx
