It first happened when I was about 12 and on vacation in Bar Harbor with my family. It lasted about 5 minutes. Since then episodes have been few but every so often I get them.
I can only describe it as being punched in the head without the pain. Short flashes of light or pictures and unintended jerking of my head. I did get the usual brain scans when I was about 17 but nothing was found. It used to happen early in the morning on the way to school on sunny days. About 4 months ago I passed out and smacked my head and woke up in a feverish sweat and all through this, I was seeing some pretty disturbing pictures. The last time I had the ticks was this past weekend. Although I was sleep deprived, it happened in the car while the sun was shining in my eyes. I did find something strange though, I had a granola bar and they stopped. The symptoms do sound like something such as hypoglycemia but there's no history of it in my family nor are any seizure disorders. Any help would be appreciated, this is something really embarrassing to have happen to you while you're out in public. My question mostly is what does it sound like and has anyone ever experienced this or know someone who had something similar happen?
